Alfie Bass
Alife Bass was born Abraham Basalinksy on the 8th April 1921 in London to a Jewish family. He started acting in the 1930's at the Unity Theatre in London. He often appear in war documentaries whilst on stage he appeared often in Shakespeare plays. He directed shows and appeared in a lot of film in main roles and one scene appearences otherwise known as cameo roles. In 1979 he appeared in one series of Are You Being Served? as the laid back Mr Goldberg. A total of 8 episodes.He died of a heart attack in 1987 leaving behind his wife and 2 children.
