Grace and Favour

Grace And Favour Grace and Favour came around seven years following the last episode of Are You Being Served? It was a spin of from the original comedy but unlike AYBS? it was short lived.

As it stood only five of the original cast members returned to reprise their roles. Others declined due to other projects or not asked to make a return. The five cast members to reprise their roles were Mollie Sugden as Mrs Slocombe, John Inman as Mr Humphries, Frank Thornton as Captain Peacock, Wendy Richard as Miss Brahms and Nicholas Smith as Mr Rumbold.

After Young Mr Grace dies the staff of Grace Brothers find out that Mr Grace has donated all of his money to a charity of fallen women. They also find out that he had invested in their pensions and brought a place called Milslstone Manor. They take drastic measures as the five are left penniless by moving into the Manor by opening it up as a hotel.

In the first series it shows the group investing in the Manor and start turning it into a hotel and how they cope with it. The second series shows how they deal with the customers. They again use a lot of jokes from the original TV show but the BBC decided to axe the show even though there had been plans to continue writing more episodes.
