Harold BennettHarold Bennett was born 17th September 1899. He was best known for his role of Young Mr Grace in Are You Being Served? He played his character absent-minded and fragile. Always played up the fact that he had women surrounding him all the time. Before Are You Being Served? he appeared as the recurring character Mr Blewitt in Dad's Army. It was here that writer David Croft decided to have him play Young Mr Grace. He also had small TV roles.



Harold was not orignally an actor. He was actually an architect right up until he retired. It was then he chose to act. He appeared in 46 episodes of Are You Being Served? before he died of a heart attack on 15th September 1981. He was 81.
