Larry Martyn

Larry MartynLarry Martyn was born 22nd March 1934. He was well up in comedy. Before his comedy trait he was a member of The Parachute Regiment (British Army). He became famous for his role as Mr Mash in Are You Being Served? for the first three series but pulled out before series four due to another project called Spring and Autumn. His character was replaced by Mr Harman and Larry did not return to Are You Being Served?. He was only in 18 episodes.

Larry made several TV appearences like Dad's Army (as it seems so have several other members from Are You Being Served? have as well). When James Beck passed away Larry actually got the oppourtunity to play Private Walker in the radio version of Dad's Army. He appeared in two Carry On films.

Larry Martyn died on 7th August 1994 leaving behind his wife and two daughters.
